Welcome to my little blog world! La Bella Novella means A Beautiful Short Story...and it fit perfectly when I was creating this little place.

My name is Ashley, I started this blog to be some kind of live journal, documenting my journey from here to wherever I may go. But, being in that I'm an aspiring author, I like to share my words--so here they are!

Author of the debut release, THE MILESTONE TAPES, I live in Chicago with my husband and our three fur babies. I'm a believer in bigger things, wild dreams and living a genuine life. I'm an avid traveler, flea market hunter, antique-a-holic with a crippling weakness for Japanese Glass Floats as well as dedicated, life longer reader (yes, I do believe my Kindle is magic).

If I could uproot myself from here and land anywhere in the world, it would be the Olympic Peninsula on the far left coast. I set my stories in the magical Pacific Northwest amongst the wild coast and rain soaked mossy trees in honor of my deep appreciation for the natural beauty and wonder. It's the only place in the world I can be sure that I can lose myself and find myself in the exact same moment.
